Freesat is a UK digital satellite TV service from the BBC/ITV which launched in May 2008. Freesat has no monthly subscription, just a one-off payment for the digital box, satellite dish and installation. It even comes with subscription-free, high-definition TV programmes. As Freesat is broadcast via satellite, it’s available to almost every household in the UK.
Freesat customers with the latest set-top-boxes can now enjoy a new and improved version of ITV Hub. The catch up and on demand service features a revamped design, which will make it easier to find the programmes you want to watch.
As well as a shiny new look ITV Hub now boasts a bigger range of TV shows available and improved video quality for a seamless viewing experience.

Freesat today announced that streaming service TVPlayer Plus is now available on Freesat. TVPlayer Plus offers access to 26 popular TV channels – including Comedy Central, MTV, Lifetime, and Discovery Channel – all for £5.99 a month, or a £59.99 yearly fee. Freesat has announced that it will be the first TV platform in the UK to integrate BBC iPlayer’s ‘Watch from Start’ feature into the TV guide.
Available from today, the new feature will allow Freesat customers with a connected set-top-box to restart live programmes on all BBC channels without waiting for the programme to end.
The launch comes in time for the live coverage of the Wimbledon finals this weekend on BBC.
