Sharon, I also have this box and live in Dublin. It works just fine for me. Sounds like your SKY dish is no longer aligned.

Does anyone have problems with their reminder and text functions? For the former, I was able to set 3 reminders, then it went from 2 to 0. The text function is gone too. Cheers.

I think I am correct in thinking you need a seperate LNB for each box – so you have a dish and an LNB for each box, or (say) 4 LNB’s on a dish and a distributed system. A box to record needs 2 LNB’s
MalcQuote
October 15th, 2010 at 7:32 pm
@Malc
Completely wrong. If you are accessing the same satellite, then an LNB comes with 1, 2, 4 or 8 ports, all of which can supply signal to individual receivers.

How do you get RTE and other Irish channels on the Grundig freestat box
DaveQuote
December 30th, 2010 at 2:15 pm
@Dave
RTE is only available in UK via Sky subscription in Northern Ireland. They are not available yet FTA however they are planning to broadcast on Freeview in NI at the end of 2011 / early 2012 so perhaps Freesat should do a bit of marketing here and get them to sign up to Freesat as well!

Hi, I have tried to setup the Bush BFSAT02SD, but once it finds all the channels I either get ‘Bad Signal’ or ‘Service not available.’ I rang the Bush helpline (at 10p a minute) and the guy suspected the box was faulty, I got Argos to chnge it, but am getting the same thing with the replacement. Would appreciate any offers of help.

bought today, setup within 5 minutes, very impressed with the quality, my tv is only a 26in widescreen so the fact it outputs in that format automatically is very useful.

Bought this box earlier today – installed it now problem and it said it had found 172 channels.
All has changed tonight though – I’ve lost nearly all my channels, they say there is no signal, the ones i have got don’t have any audio.
Have tried to reinstall as new and it found all the channels again while scanning but with same problem.
In the settings menu says there is no satellite lock.
Proper disappointed with this product. Complete waste of money.

Bought one from argos on wednesday,same model number but this has no buttons on the box,so if your remote dies in the future ,the box is un usable.A few hours later the picture started to go,like someone had tuned the channel slightly off,then it would start switching channels by itself and the channel would sort of detune itself for a bit ,then come back again.
Good job i still had my sky box.So i returned the box to argos and got a replacement ,but this one is doing the same.Back to using my old sky box now, until i take this trash back and buy a different freesat box.
Cheap trash

Was thinking of getting a Freesat box but after reading all these messages of problems am now thinking of not wasting my money, of which i don’t have much of these days, so am glad in a way that i read these messages but not glad at knowing you all have and are having problems with this product. I cant afford SKY so might try this Tivvi box thing and see if that is better than Freesat.
Have a good Christmas and I hope each of you who have put a message on will have got your Freesat box problems sorted out before Christmas comes.

Hi
Does anyone know if/how to goto a manual channel directly. I have set up a radio channel that is on 3033. The only way I can see to change to it is, “Channel List” then “swap” then scroll down a ways and same again to Swap back, not huge effort but is a pain. would be nice simply to press 3033. Or even put it as a Favorite but it seem that this can only be done with the standard 3 digit channels.

Afriad that is completely untrue, the postcode verification is nothing to do with Argos or any other retailer; Argos ask for that information to pass on to tv licensing to check you have a license.

Purchased a Bush BFSAT02SD some time ago from Argos .Since the digital switchover I have been unable to receive channels 105/128/129/130/131/132 & 134.
I contacted Argos and Grundig 3 months ago and was told that they were aware of this problem and that steps were being taken to resolve this problem,however without success.Has anyone had a similar problem and got any satisfaction as I am rapidly getting very annoyed and frustrated !!!!!!!!

Make sure your satellite dish is correctly aligned to both Astra2 and Eurobird1. Also check you are entering the postcode as per the manual (some require a space, some don’t). If all else fails, try on another satellite dish setup to determine if it is your dish setup or the receiver.

Hi i was with sky so i have a dish, i haven’t changed its position at all, my sky+hd box has 2 satellite input cables but my bush bfsat02sd box only has 1 input connection. ive tried both wires in the bush freesat box but fail to get a signal and it fails to recodnise my postcode, with or without a space… any help would be appreciated as i have had this thing for about 2months and its just sitting there, I’ve trawled through numerous websites and forums and tried lots of different ways and times of the day to install freesat without success. the bush technical support site just gives you the same information as the instruction manual that comes with the box! am i wasting my time or is there a way i can connect this thing to my dish???
AndyQuote

Sounds like a faulty tuner (common on this box) or possibly your satellite dish isn’t picking up the Eurobird signal. On your Sky digibox, try accessing Fashion One if it is available on the Sky EPG; if it works, then your signal from the dish is fine for Eurobird/freesat. If it doesn’t, your dish most likely needs a slight alignment adjustment. If you are unsure, the best test would be trying to Bush on another satellite dish setup to rule one of the other out.
