About the Sagem DTR94250S Freesat+ Digital Receiver

The Sagem DTR94250S Freesat+ High Definition Receiver is a Freesat PVR twin tuner 250GB hard drive receiver, for use on the Freesat satellite television platform.

The DTR94250S receiver allows up to 60 hours HD and 125 hours SD recording time from the 250GB hard drive (depending on broadcast format), is a twin tuner allowing you to record one channel whilst watching another.

Note – Don’t forget that you’ll need a twin/quad LNB and two cables from your satellite dish to make full use of the twin tuners; with just a single cable from your satellite dish, you can still use but with limitations on recording, see our article on operating a PVR with one input.

@ John J – the DTR67(250/320/500) are freeview+ SD, not freesat. The current PVRs for freesat from Sagemcom are the DTR94320SHD and the DTR94500SHD. Hope this helps! Go to http://www.sagemcomdigital.co.uk/set-top-boxes/freesat/ for details.

Bought one of these and it was a doddle to set up following upgrading via a
USB memory card. However then evrything that could go wrong did. Watching BBC HD the picture blacked out at regular intervals but sound continued. Rang the helpline and was talked through a reset followed by wiping a blank hard drive. Restarted the system but same problem reappeared. We had tea and on returning the picture was even worse. It rapidly alternated between black screen and picture like a what the butler saw machine, I repeated the reset procedeure but again all above fauklts recurred . I brought it back to Currys exchanged it for a 500gig Humax and the difference was stunning. Sufice to say the Humax was so good it’s boring!
