About the Sagem DTR94500S Freesat+ Digital Receiver
The Sagem DTR94500S Freesat+ High Definition Receiver is a Freesat PVR twin tuner 500GB hard drive receiver, for use on the Freesat satellite television platform.
The DTR94500S receiver allows up to 125 hours HD and 250 hours SD recording time from the 500GB hard drive (depending on broadcast format), is a twin tuner allowing you to record one channel whilst watching another.
Note – Don’t forget that you’ll need a twin/quad LNB and two cables from your satellite dish to make full use of the twin tuners; with just a single cable from your satellite dish, you can still use but with limitations on recording, see our article on operating a PVR with one input.

Brilliant device! I bought this unit 4 weeks ago (after a long history with Sagem Freeview products) and so far I have not been disappointed! Very (!) easy to set up and handle, brilliant quality of recordings and programmes. The step by step user manual and the on-screen instructions helped me to set it up within a couple of minutes. highly recommendable!

I bought two of these, and they both failed after a few weeks.
The first one froze totally and would not record or play back some of the files.
The second one will not play back files within folders.
I contacted Sagem and they replaced the first one, but I still lost all my recordings.
I will be contacting them about the second one, but want to try to watch any recordings that I can before getting a replacement.
Am now looking at alternatives.

I have one of these & find the hard drive is a bit noisy. Other than that is is quite easy to find your way through the menu’s & learn as you go. Recording two different channels at once is pretty dam good too!!!!!

Easy to set up ,but very noisy, also not sure about the channel numbers in yellow hard for me to see at a distance.
the remote is cheap and nasty, and a big problem for me is it also works a sagem pvr which i had wish to use on the same tv,
so to rate out of 10 then only a 4.

Those are two Freeview+ boxes (Aerial), not a Freesat+ box (Dish)
Looking on Sagemcom’s website they’ve dropped the Freesat+HD 500Gb version and only have the 320Gb now?
