I’m sorry, it’s just that everyone is cheaper than Amazon on this one and I hate to see people ripped off!

I got this goodmans freesat box…. its ok but subtitles dont work on non freesat channels….. to lee hartman…. if your having problem with subtitles the very best thing you can do is unplug your freesat box from the mains for 5 mins then plug it back in so it re boots itself then the subtitles should be clear.

Bought two. First has failed “no signal” after two weeks – just as the Bush equivalent (3 of them) sold by Argos did – none lasted 12 months! A pity because it is a good basic box.

My uncle has this receiver and after one month it won’t come out of standby … Not sure if this could or would be caused by misaligned dish as his dish seems a bit out if line with other dishes

Hello. Can you tell me if this Godmans Box can be used in France. I notice that you have to input a UK post code to tune the receiver??

I’ve only been using this box for a few days (so based on the above comments i’ll change my tune in the coming weeks) but i’m impressed. As someone who can’t get good Freeview signal i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the picture. It even pans and scans 4:3 images to widescreen which is quite a nice touch my standard freeview doesn’t.
To the person who said that they cannot get it out of standby, i noticed a quirk (/fault) whereby you have to press the power button so the light goes green, it then seems to go back to standby itself, if you then press program up or down it should start. A little annoyance isn’t bad for £29 (although I won my one in a raffle!)
