Will the Humax HD FreeSat pvr have the same function as the SKY+ box, where a remote TV can access and control the box and functions? Thanks!

Bert - The remote on the iCord can do this so I am assuming the Freesat DTR will be the same, perhaps Bob, from Humax, will read this post and be able to confirm this capability.

Can anyone tell me, will this hd pvr work like sky+ as in I can record whole series at the touch of a button? How does the recording work can i look through the tvlistings and tell it what to record? Or is it a timer service? Sorry I have not used anything other than Sky+. Any info is appreciated.

Metronic are Malaysian with a European French base. Sat receivers more common in Europe. I first came across their brand name in a computer mainboard. --- This product was lower end, but wouldn't wish to knock them on a one off experience of a product. Their Sat receivers may be fine and of course they will need to meet the Freesat quality standard requirement.

I don't know too much about the quality and support of Metronic, I will stick to getting a Humax PVR as I'm happy with the foxsat hd box. It would be great if Panasonic launched a freesat pvr in their Diga range with a dvd recorder built in. Here's to wishful thinking.
