Following on from our Humax PVR’s Stolen story it’s believed that the police have recovered a number of PVR’s matching the serials of those stolen in the early hours of Monday 1st December 2008.

Humax have officially said;

We can confirm that 50% of the units that were stolen have been recovered, which are in working order and in the process of being shipped to retailers. However, there is still a significant number of units that have still not been found.

It’s believed, although not confirmed that a company in Leeds had been trying to sell on a large quantity of the units which alerted suspicions that the police acted upon.

There are still a large number missing, so if you notice any questionable sales, i.e. bulk quantities, too cheap etc do contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, or Humax on 020 8326 6000.

It has been officially announced that Freesat+ will arrive in UK stores from 22nd November 2008.

The first Freesat+ Digital Box will be launched by Humax (FOXSAT-HDR) and will initially be available across selected John Lewis, Comet, Argos and Dixons stores plus some selected independent retailers, priced at around £299.

Marc at PVR Junction has done it again, click here to see some action video of the Humax FOXSAT-HDR menu and record facility.

Humax have finally released an image of their FOXSAT-HDR remote control, only weeks before the official release.

The remote control has multifunction capabilities, allowing you to control not only the PVR receiver, but your television, DVD player and Audio device. Codes allowing you to pair with your devices are supposedly going to be provided with the unit itself, and should allow you to atleast hide away a few other remotes.

Not long to go now…
