The interractive stuff should be pretty straightforward now we’ve finally seen multiscreen stuff working on Ocean TV. They simply need to replicate the code, hopefully this means the BBC news multiscreen stuff isn’t too far away either?

So in a few days time, I can watch BBC One’s new dedicated HD channel launch with — The One Show, and then I switch over and watch 24×7 QVC Beauty.
Just remind me why we bother?

I agree, the channel is not exciting but… This is the 2nd freesat exclusive, isn’t it?

@Kokua
No, it will also be launching on Sky the same day; we just omitted that information from the press release.
@Paul
You may not be overly frilled with the channel, but it will have an audience and that can only mean potential more customers for Freesat. That’s the way all new channel launches should be viewed.

It’s good to see a steady stream of new channels joining the platform which is a good thing in itself. Yes it may be a shopping channel but will have it’s audience.

This is a ladies channel, and ladies don’t use this web site because they like to do ladies things.when was the last time you saw a females name here.
a lot of women will be glued to this channel and if you only got one freesat box in the house you might think about buying your wife a freesat receiver for christmas so you can get your main tv back.
my wife is a big fan of qvc & i never whatch it,
surprised the channel is not in hd

I think your right Terence, I’ll have to mention it to my partner and see if she starts watching it, guess it will probably be a success from that perspective and also good indirect promotion for Freesat!

I live with my wife and 3 teenage daughters – guarantee this channel will never be watched in my house.
@admin – I disagree – if filling something with noise and nonsense won’t make it more popular with the majority. If this channel is still transmitting in 6 months I’ll buy you a pint.

QVC will have done their research before launching on Freesat, it’s dead certain to be a winner!

(admin comment) acw, unless you have something constructive to say, please don’t rant and swear on this site thanks.

I know that is is slightly of topic but QVC Beauty has come on to my box at 816 but my box has indicated that a channel has been taken of. It said that there were 161 channels before the latest addition and I was expecting 162, but upon doing a scan it stills says 161. Does anyone know if a channel has been taken of?

Admin.i did no swearing whatsoever.All i did was criticise the poor channels that seem to come to the freesat .If you cannot handle someone having an opinion that differs to your own then i am afraid you should not be running a website that allows public opinion.

@acw
Not going to debate this with you; everyone is entitled to an opinion providing they remain sensible and don’t drag the discussion into the gutter with swearing and unhelpful comments, such as yours:

Obviously If we were rich we would have the full Sky HD package for £61 a month.
