Seems to work ok. The clock is a useful feature that should have been in the original spec. Haven’t noticed any navigation improvements in the guide – are these documented somewhere?

“enables us to grow our in demand services further (like 4oD)”? Wow – Freesat actually mentioned one of the six-month-late OD services instead of ignoring them? Whatever next – delivering the service? Surely not…

4OD will be available before the end of June. (well at least that’s what a Freesat community mod said earlier today)

I turned my box on this morning and noticed that the homescreen came up but didn’t think anything of it! Nice to see more steady updates, and finally getting 1 of the extra promised on-demand services is a good sign (I’ll be honest, I thought it would never appear!).

Looking forward to having a proper play with 4OD later.

Not much use to me at the moment, but keeping my fingers crossed for a Netflix arrival at some point which will certainly make use of a change of DNS.

You haven’t really given enough information for anyone to help, not only that but does your remote even have a TV control function?

That will be your TV’s HDMI-CEC Auto Off feature, you’d need to turn of that function on your TV.
Here’s a list of what different brands call HDMI-CEC which you may find among the TV’s settings menu.
    Samsung – AnyNet+
    Sharp – Aquos Link
Sony – BRAVIA Link and BRAVIA Sync
    Hitachi – HDMI-CEC
    AOC – E-Link
    Pioneer – Kuro Link
Toshiba – CE-Link and Regza Link
Onkyo – RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI)
    LG – SimpLink
Panasonic – HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync, VIERA Link
    Philips – EasyLink

Something that would be really cool would be an ability to change the boot screen background to your own picture as found on some PC motherboards.

Don’t know if Humax have anything like this in the pipeline but the ability to set a personal welcome picture would really set the Humax apart.

Just wanted to add I know it doesn’t add anything to the functionality but sometimes there’s a lot to be said for personalisation as well as pure function.

Youtube is in the on demand menu… not the humax menu.
