Never expected this to happen but Samsung have today released a long promised software update for the SMT-S7800.

Samsung have confirmed that they will be launching a Freesat+ receiver in March to accompany the televisions with built-in Freesat to launch around the same time.

Samsung have announced the range of televisions which will include Freesat (and Freeview) from March this year.
Freesat will be found in the D8000 series which comes in 40, 46 and 50in, plus a 60in model to follow in August. All the televisions will have LED-backlit plasma panels with full HD (though satellite tv is broadcast in 1080i max) plus 3D-ready for those connecting up to 3D capable devices.
