No worries, thought it was my browser at first!!!

What do people think about Heart and Capital? The presentation is quite good, I like the way the music is segued together (a bit of a radio term for back to back-ing songs), it’s almost like a radio station but on the TV which is probably what Global are aiming at.

I notice though that the LCN’s allocated for this are still high up, wonder what they have planned for 507, 508 and 512, 513 and 514?

Hi, Apologies for posting this on here, I have put the same question on page re Humax boxes.

I have a Foxsat HD box for about 10 months now. Really impressed with quality of picture especially HD but during the last few days whilst watching HD channels. I keep losing the picture albeit for only a split second. I keep the sound. Rather annoying. I have had all the leads including the HDMI ones and aerial lead out. Thinking it might be static. But still occuring. Please help.

They are on one of the weaker E28A Txp’s, were nearly unwatchable for me and breaking up Thurs eve as it absolutely lashed it down here for about two hours!

It’s clear today but those 2 channels still break, not as bad as clubland but still not very good. Time for bigger dish?

It’s all down to dosh! You pay more and get more power, pay more for more bandwidth etc etc.

A correctly panned 45cm elliptical minidish with <10mtrs of LNB CT100 cable run should receive EB28A's 12523V transponder carrying the services ok during normal weather conditions. I've no issue with them although if it lashes it down with rain they were macro blocking slightly but that was very heavy rain last Thurs eve.

Why struggle with a wimpy zone 1 dish? Get a Sky zone 2 dish. They are cheap as chips and are standard fitment in Scotland. I’ve no problem at all with Capital or Heart TV reception here in Fife.

Freeview are making channels 1-4 the HD versions in their EPG. I think Freesat should do the same instead of having them scattered all over the guide.

It shouldn’t happen. The box should auto update.

UPDATE 12/10/12 – BBC Changes – The first stage of the BBC’s frequency changes at 28.2 degrees east have taken place:-
BBC News is now on 10.818 V, SR 22.000, FEC 5/6
    BBC Three/CBBC is now on 10.818 V, SR 22.000, FEC 5/6
    BBC Four/CBeebies is now on 10.773 H, SR 22.000, FEC 5/6
BBC Alba is now on 10.803 H, SR 22.000, FEC 5/6

BBC Sport Stream 1 is now on 10.773 H, SR 22.000, FEC 5/6 does not seem to have happened at time of writing
Please do not forget that on the 15th of October all BBC Radio Channels will move to 10.788 V and 10.803 H, all BBC Radio will share these two frequencies which are on the UK beam as opposed to 11.954 H which is on the European beam, this means that after the 16th of October some outlying parts of Europe will lose their BBC Radio reception.

They dont start till 1900 uk time, so no point trying during the day. Cbeebies / CBBC use the daytime capacity.

Looks good, lets hope they now keep BBC HD going for content from elsewhere if C5 aren’t going to take up the fifth DTT HD slot for another couple of years.

Freeview are making LCN’s 101-104 for their HD channels, LCN’s 1-5 will still be the main PSB’s SD channels.

I think the BBC Two HD logo and ident look poor i thought.
I saw them a few months ago after the DQF report released.
They also commissioned a BBC Three HD logo aswell, which at the time i thought was ominous but now, with the space DSAT capacity, a possibility along with maybe CBBC HD?
I doubt it but, you never know

I was pretty much expecting it to look the same as the current one with their HD branding put on the side. Interesting on BBC Three, I guess with CBBC those two timeshared channels would best benefit from being in HD before BBC Four as they have newer content. I won’t hold my breath though as guess the beeb will probably do nothing and make some excuse even though the DTT bandwidth exists!

That’s strange, have you a HD-S or a HDR-S. If its a HD-S are you running the latest 1.45 software that gives you ITV Player, The Space and louder analog sound level?

Have the new HDR-S which was working fine until I did a re-scan to pick up the missing channels. Software version is V1.0.3 and no updates are available. Still no sound on the HD channels.

Make sure you switch Dolby Digital off from within the sound menu.

Admin where did that come from? It makes no difference on my HD-S however I don’t know about the HDR-S.
However If that dosen’t cure the problem I would advise raising a ticket with Manhattan.
