Admin, channel 505 is spelt Buzmuzik by the way.

Heh, just noticed the person I quoted from DS spelt it wrong too. Oops, sorry for not noticing that admin.

Thanks for spotting Karra (no worries Muzer), my fault, not use to spelling things the “cool” way!!!

I wonder if Capital and Heart were to go on 507 and 508 too as were both to launch today but now postponed a couple of weeks until the 27th.

Channels moving up on the EPG, Buzmuzik, Bliss… soon Showcase and Information TV…
Might EPG slots have been sold? Is this the very first EPG re-shuffle on fressat?
Music section was suspicious anyway, with so many gaps.

Also from Sept 19th: INFORMATION TV becomes 401 from 402 ;
SHOWCASE becomes 400 from 403. So guess they are just filling in some of the gaps.

most likely Channel4 had plans to put its(part owned) music channels there, but now they seems to have been crawling back to sky with film4 HD and more4 HD launching there…
SonnyQuote
September 14th, 2012 at 1:36 pm
Its unwatchable as the bitrate is so poor, it looks like the lowest res youtube video stretched to full screen.

Can we get any sort of conformation that More4HD and Film4HD are going exclusively Sky… the article on Digital Spy mentions sky but not Exclusively
LiamoQuote
September 14th, 2012 at 6:03 pm
Just seen this, maybe there’s some non-disclosure agreement about their availability elsewhere as it’s wrapped up with Sky on demand inclusion too. Bad news if they do run to Sky but they’ve their own transponder to fill so seems a bit odd to me. We all know how twisted Sky’s marketing and press releases are, take the BBC Olympic feeds for example! Nothing mentions exclusivity or HD sub inclusion.
NeilQuote
September 14th, 2012 at 6:31 pm
It says on Techradar that Film4 HD is already on Virgin Media and it is so obviously its not exclusive to Sky.

Rubbish, it looks like VHS with all that edge enhancement. Another music channel, just the job.
Richard CrichtonQuote
September 14th, 2012 at 8:38 pm
I did laugh at the edge enhancement, it looks like theve run it through an embossed filter.
I struggle to watch anything that looks that bad, even if it is in my field of interest.
FlyerQuote
September 14th, 2012 at 11:07 pm
That’s true, forgot about Virgin. Still I bet if behind a paywall then Sky have paid C4 hansomely for the privilege of keeping these channels off freesat.

Hi is there any chance that freesat boxs will allow you to go on YouTube
And when is 5pn demand and 4od coming
Thanks
Dave wQuote
September 16th, 2012 at 11:56 am
After the success of the Olympics coverage maybe another push is needed to fta channels that arent on the Freesat epg – there are quite a few that could be possible targets. OK not all of them would interest everyone, but any additions raise the Freesat profile another notch

I don’t see why not. There is a good chance they will if they are anything like smart hub tv’s and blu-rays.It depends what apps they get.
*On Demand TV from BBC iPlayer and ITV Player with 4OD and Demand 5 launching before Christmas.

what is the latest position with STV – is it on FreeSat?
Tom WylieQuote
September 19th, 2012 at 1:37 am
If your referring to the HD version, and I assume you are, then not yet. It’s tunable in non-freesat mode at 10936V, SR23000, FEC 8/9, label 3855, but not yet on the EPG. Why is a mystery as ITV resolved their differences with STV Months ago.

Ano they have done this for a while but why dose
SKYs freesat box have more channels than our freesat box
Dave wQuote
September 19th, 2012 at 12:23 pm
Perhaps because they have included all the rubbish channels which we can have if we want to in non Freesat mode. I have over 350 channels on my Manhattan Freesat box.
Richard CrichtonQuote
September 19th, 2012 at 6:10 pm
can i do this on my humax foxsat pvr box
cos then it would be good :-}

Do you REALLY want the Freesat epg filled up with all the low budget c*** that litters the nether regions of Sky’s epg??
There are dozens of slapper on a sofa, shopping channels selling tat, and religious rubbish that Sky can keep.
There are actually relatively few fta channels on the Sky epg that arent on the FS system that would be popular additions to the Freesat epg.

Thanks for your help and advice
I was just thinking of a few of the good channels not on freesat
Like — pick tv-Sony tv-challenge and may be 2 or 3 more but I do agree there’s loads of rubbish on there
Dave wQuote
September 19th, 2012 at 10:50 pm
Dave w- you can get loads of channels in “non-freesat” tuning mode. Only notable ones that are really missing are Quest/Dave, shouldn’t be a problem to receive them if you have Freeview though. Most noticeable/best ones in “non-freesat” include Sly News/Pick tv/Challenge/Africa Channel/Record TV(Brazil)/Travel Channel/Horse+Country/Sahara 1 and a variety of others if they take your fancy. As a side-note I’ve noticed that the amount of sport available on Freesat is increasing all the time- i.e. Bundesliga highlights now every monday night on ITV4, BBC Alba showing live lower league scottish football regularly, similarly to S4C with their Welsh leagues coverage. Something for everyone with Freesat

Pick and Challenge are easily available in non Freesat mode. Just store as a favourite if you have a Manhattan. BTW I don’t consider they are good channels.
Richard CrichtonQuote
September 20th, 2012 at 10:35 am
Alba shows Scottish premier league football as well but not live.
Richard CrichtonQuote
September 20th, 2012 at 1:39 pm
Pick does show Stargate Universe and Star Trek Next Generation so there are some intelligent shows. Picture quality seems good as well but the HD version of STNG is not yet being broadcast.

Sony TV is ftv not fta, and thats probably just a precursor to them joining the pay bouquet at the end of a years “probation”.

True but you have to put up with all those awful Sky adverts. Bear in mind that they are Sky barker channels to get you to subscribe.
