On their website it says they are ‘temporarily off-air for Europe and the UK’, the channel was removed from Sky’s platform yesterday too.

For a Christian organisation they sure knew how to spread hate misinformation and homophobia. Im guessing they could see no wrong in what they were doing and ofcom were left with no choice but to pull the plug.

Sounds like they fell foul of OFCOM: http://www.ini.tv/urgent-prayer-needed-inspiration-tv/?intcmpid=urgent-prayer-banner

It sounds like though, according to that letter published, that they’ve corrected this even though Ofcom have still forced them to pull the plug? No doubt the issue will be resolved fairly quickly and they’ll be back as licenses are issues on demand and often turned around fairly quickly.

    This from A516digital.com
BBC Red Button to be available on Sky and Freesat from channel 981 during Wimbledon and Glastonbury
BBC Red Button to be available on Sky and Freesat from channel 980 during Commonwealth Games.
One part-time HD channel from 23rd June, on Sky and Freesat channel 986.
CBBC HD moves to temporary frequency for the Commonwealth Games.

Viewers with Sky and Freesat will shortly see the extended BBC Red Button service appear on their channel lists, meaning that viewers will be able to record all their favourite Wimbledon, Glastonbury and Commonwealth Games moments.

No major news stories have been missed or significantly late, but do agree that contributions and original thoughts have been lacking, but that is down to existing workload, newborn baby, lack of movement in the satellite market, no new products to review, limited support from Freesat, and a general slow down in sales across the television industry (with a lot of movement towards Internet based platforms).

I’m hoping to free up some more time to give the site a fresh perspective and look, especially with an audience of still more than 3,000 unique’s daily.

How about TV awards results. Don’t want to create bad feelings as you have done a great job just expressing my opinion.

No, that is fair enough; Freesat didn’t send me the press release for the award results (part of the “lack of support” mentioned) but also my newborn came out of hospital after 10 days that night so wouldn’t have been reported on until around now.

Congrats on the little one, you had told me about the pending family addition a while back.

It’s not good Freesat don’t share more info with you, considering the amount of exposure to the platform your site has given them.

“Channel 4 is launching two new HD channels on Freeview on 1st July 2014, using extra capacity awarded to multiplex operator Arqiva last year to facilitate more HD channels on the terrestrial platform.”

Any info on whether these will appear on Freesat?

A source elsewhere was in contact with Channel 4 and the answer is NO. Being +1 and +24 channels its so that big a loss, getting Film4 in HD would be more pressing for many of us :)

I think freesat is slowly messing up the nicely defined categorised EPG it had becoming more a mess like sky and well freeview what can one say.

Have lost interest myself, there’s not a lot of variety and don’t really like humax sat receivers as I always remembered them as budget digital receivers compared to my old SCT Monterey.
